The importance of National Symbols and the 1st of December Independence Day / Hari Nasional.

1st December celebrations in The Netherlands through the years.

With the yearly Celebrations ever since 1961 on the 1st of December as Independence Day of the Nation of West Papua Melanesia, the 1st of December also comemorates the importance of National Symbols.
As in 1961 the Nation of West Papua / Melanesia has been internationally recognized De Iure; the De Facto execution of West Papua / Melanesia’s right to political independence, remains a cliffhanger on the world political agenda.
The denyal of the West Papua / Melanesia nation is a clear case of gross violation of international law.
West Papua / Melanesia’s universal right to political independence, can be exersised at any moment instantly, given the will. Growing support throughout the Pacific, in the Melanesian Spearhead Group and in the Pacific Island Forum and even globally for West Papua ’s political independence cannot be silenced down anymore under the barell of a gun by the barbaric Indonesian security troops.
Ending Indonesia’s illegal presence in West Papua / Melanesia will become a major topic in the 21st century.
The commemoration and celebration on the 1st of December of the national symbols, the Morningstar flag, the National Anthem “Hai Tanakhu Papua”, and the Papua Volunteer Corps Persevero/ PVK West Papua’s are the undenyable evidence of a nation in waiting.

Ever since 1962 in The Netherlands the 1st of December has been celebrated with hoist of flag and reception, mainly at the Congressbuilding in The Hague.
